LIVERPOOL KOP TALK
Liverpool manager Tim has made some interesting observations about the new look Liverpool squad for the start of the European Super League 1. In an interview he was quoted as saying..... "Very pleased with the goalkeeping department and especially with Alphonse Areola who is looking particularly good in training. Our defence is strong and Brazilian due Marquinhos and Telles are very solid and showing that their experience will stand Liverpool in good stead. The midfield is particularly strong as it is marshalled by club captain Tony Kroos who is as commanding as ever! Tim was particularly impressed with young Harry Wilson who has come on leaps and bounds after his return to the club. The striking department is also solid with Harry Kane and Edin Hazard combining well together. All in all I am looking forward to the season and hope for great success!"

Liverpool manager Tim was pleased with the first 5 games in the ESGF inaugural season. 3 wins and a draw is pleasing for this talented bunch who have really started well for the Anfield faithful. Notable performances have come from striker Edin Hazard who has scored 7 goals in his 5 appearances, and captain Tony Kroos has been exceptional with his passing and assists. Liverpool stand in 5 place in the table and well poised for a challenge at the top.

Liverpool manager Tim has said that new signings Andre Silva and Gabriel Jesus are just what the team needs for challenging for the title again this season. These two attackers are going to really support Edin Hazard and Harry Kane so expect lots of goal from the Anfield team this season. Tim has said that the opening game of the season against Manchester United will show just how much the squad has developed and a victory against United will justify this. The Liverpool manager found it very amusuing reading United managers pre-match comments that United were going to win! "Let's see what happens on the day" was the response from Tim who has always been upfront about anything related to the job in hand. This second season is also going to be interesting to see if any of the other teams in the division can match United and Liverpool, and their progression will be fascinating to watch.
