Not best start to season for Ajax with just 1 point from 2 games after their 3-3 draw awat at Atletico Madrid, in a game which the away side dominated the possession but could not score the winning goal. Son Heung-Min had a good match with 2 goals, Van de Beek and Dumfries both had a good match with their play, Ajax came from behind twice in the match after taking an early lead. Upamecano also put in a good performance in defense, at the final whistle manager "Ten Hag" seemed disappointed with only a draw and more work needed to tinker with the team and try to start winning matches.

![Ajax FC](https://i.imgur.com/rotmzznm.jpg) Ajax FC boss "Erik Ten Hag" is demanding more from his team despite the 2-1 win at liverpool on Wednesday night which lifts the club up to 5th place after 4 matches. News coming out of Amsterdam is that strikers Radamel Falcao and Joao Felix have been transfer listed, as the boss shakes up his team and were hearing he may turn to bringing some youth players from the Academy into the first team. Son Heung-Min has started his Ajax career well with 4 goals in 3 games, but needs support from other strikers at the club who have not really settled as yet. Pulisic is yet to light up team he's been very quiet so far, defensive midfielders Van der Beek and Kante have started season very well which their passing stats clearly demonstrate. Bernardo Silva is working hard but more is expected as he only has 1 goal and 1 assist and should be producing more, young Palacios is starting to show promise. Defensivley Ajax need to tighten up and stop the leaking goals then they should have a good productive season.

Ajax boss "Erik ten Hag" demands more ruthlessness from his squad after the home 4-3 defeat to Manchester United where the Dutch side had twice as many shots on the United goal but failed to take their chances. Son Heung-Min had a great game but should have also scored more goals, Pulisic put in good performance but fans are clear the team should playee with with 2 forwards and not 1 as the team are missing out. It remains to be seen whether the boss will change his style of play, the club sit 6th place 6pts behind the leaders.
Van de Beek, Silva and Kante have been performing very well in midfield but goals are needed to help the forward line, Radamel Falcao is not happy at not playing and is likely to leave the club. Felix and Sirridge are also rumoured to be unhappy and want to leave the club.

Ajax boss was happy with his players last night after the 2-1 win over Red Bull Leipzig and continues his plans on developing his squad with a fresh, youthful approach ready for next season. The boss has promoted Eddine, Van der Sloot, Hillen, Hiynsson, Fitz-Jim, Giovanni, Martha, Unuvar and Van Dongen so 9 young players brought into the 1st team and 6 1st teamers have left the club with more expected to leave when offers are received....
On the training ground the boss is working on new formations and tactics, and the players have been seen working through 3 formations and testing out their short passing and attacking style of football the fans want to see. No game Wednesday time as its Cup action, so the players have more time to work through new playing style and for the boss to keep shuffling his team.

Ajax boss "Ten Hag" admits been disappointing season for the club, a 0-0 draw at Manchester City last night summed up the season. Big changes are imminent with the players, formation and tactics as the boss has stated and he has reassured fans he will be staying at the club into next season. Ajax sit in 8th safe from relegation but failed to make the European Super Cup as they expected so big job starts now for the boss bringing through the youth players, re-structuring and finding the best formation for the team. Players will leave the club at end of season as they have not made their minutes, Bergjwin, Danjuma, Falcao, will be leaving but luckily for Ajax the boss has been bringing through youth players so they will remain and develop at the club.

Ajax boss "Ten Hag" admits been disappointing season for the club finishing down in 9th place when the club expected to be challenging for a top 4 place and fans were also disappointed too with performances. Too many poor performances cost the team a higher finish, lack of goals and playing with one forward most of season many feel cost the team with the club low scoring but keeper Cillesen conceding 63 goals which was very poor. The last two games of the season the boss switched to some experimental tactics which we expect to see in pre season, as he looks to find the right formation and style of play for his team. One of the positive thing from the season was the boss bringing through 10 Under 21s players into the 1st team.
AJAX SEASON STATS: (Players ending season in 1st team) Cillesen - 2.5 goals conceded per game
Dumfries - 1.7 tackles per game De Ligt - 1.3 tackles per game Pierie - 1.1 tackles per game (other defenders u21s promoted from Academy)
N'Golo Kante - 2.45 passes per game, 9 tackles Van Der Beek - 2.24 passes per game, 10 assists, 14 tackles Bernardo Silva - 1.7 passes per game Pulisic - 1.5 passes per game, 5 goals (several U21s promoted into midfield)
Heung-Min - 17 goals in 19 games Mwepu - 12 goals in 20 games (4 promoted from U21s)

Ajax boss "Erik ten Hag" has been shaking up his Ajax team after what the club considered a poor 1st season in the ESF and expecting much better in the 2nd season. The boss has brought in great young strikers now the 1st team has Kalajdzic, Sesko, Virginius, Unuvar and Van Dongen join Mwepu and Giovanni all fighting for the starting forward roles. All 7 of these forwards are highly rated and have much potential at the club and moving forwards, midfield seems to be his next target with Christian Eriksen transfer listed and Kevin Strootman a big surprise to everyone as two highly quality players. Its clear the boss wants to build a youthful high developing squad, the defense are all under 23 except for Dumfries and we are learning a new keeper is also being sought after as the boss wants to mount a t op four challenge in the new season.

Ajax FC boss "Erik Ten Hag" has been busy making moves around Europe and looking to strengthen the Ajax team and the Jong Ajax team with good quality young players. The club have made an approach to Manchester United to purchase forwards Cody Gakpo and also to bring Antony back to the club, giving the boss plenty of choice with his forward line. Already in the 1st team are top scorer Virginius, then Kalajdzic, Sesko, Mwepu, Giovanni, Unuvar and Dongen adding two more forwards must mean several of these players will drop to the Jong Ajax and lead the B team. Meanwhile playmaker Eriksen has left the club and joined Manchester United, with young rising stars Aarosen and Zidane Igbal arriving at Ajax and joining a youthful looking first team.
Could their be a change in style of play and formation for Ajax? the boss is known for changing his team around and using several formations, currently the club sit 4th in the ESL 1 only 2pts behind leaders Atletico Madrid after 4 matches. The ESL 1 is proving difficult to predict with Champions United bottom, Juventus in the bottom 2, Real Madrid rebuilding so it could be a good chance for Ajax to put a string of results together and we at the top.
